need replacement tonneau cover

I need to replace my tonneau cover.
Its for a 99 F150 shortbed.
It came as a factory installed option with 4 cross rails and a clip in
tailgate end bar.
Is this something I need to get from a dealer.
If so..anyone have a stock number?
Thanks

You COULD go to the dealer, they ought to be able to hook up, but why not a local truck accessories place? Chances are the aftermarket is cheaper by a bit. I had the Ford one, great, but came unstitched and pooled water in the section by the cab. I got a second hand one, 2-3 years used and I got 2 years out of it. I don't even know the brand. Extang and Truxedo are good names for tonneau covers, I'll be looking at probably Extang next time round.

A little off topic, a bit hijacking, but does anyone know if they make for Ford's a tonneau cover like the Dodge's have? What I mean is a material that is not vinyl, but looks and probably is the same as 03-04 Mustang Cobra convertible top has, cotton looking maybe? I think the Dodge one is only available or popular through Mopar parts, any info?

If yours is the factory one and you are looking to just replace the fabric you would be better off to replace the whole cover. And go with an Extang, SportMaster, Truxedo, or Access stay away from the cheap axx Advance anything, they sell Lebra and they are pure garbage. There are many many options on soft tonneaus so go to an aftermarket store and talk to a sales rep that knows the differences in covers and can actually find out what will work for your needs and not just be a parts seller, like you find at Advance.

At least that is what I do here at my place. I would say at least 70% of the people that come in here asking for something end up leaving with something different since I actually talk to them and find out what their needs are and what will work best for them instead of just handing them what they ask for and taking their money.

I recommend Ebay... Pick up a used one. I had one for a 6' bed that I sold because the truck was totaled. I sold it for about $100. It was only used for a couple of months.

I then bought a SCrew (5' bed) and picked up a hinged toneau cover used for $140... It opens like the hatchback on a car. I love it. You could also check craigslist too...
