2003 super crew help !!!Bed extender hardware

I have a 2003 King ranch f-150 supercrew truck. I went and purchased the bed extender hardware from ford and when I got home I found out that my posts were not threaded in the bed of my truck. Does anyone have any sugestions or has this happened to any one else?
Thanks

just take your fastners to a hardware shop and purchase a tap that fits those threads or if you have a buddy that has a set then just borrow his.then all you do is thread the hole and your done. i did the same thing when i purchased my brothers before he sold his truck. takes about 5 munites to do.

Just buy a couple of nuts that fit the threads and use them on the backside. You can access them through the tailights and it will make it stronger than just tapping the thin bed metal of the post.
