New Extang RT cover
New Extang RT cover
I had one of these on my Ranger and loved it and my wife was awesome and got me one for the new F150 for Christmas. Looks good and I love the flush look it has. It was in the mid 50s the day after Christmas so I had a chance to clean up the truck at home and install the cover. Looks good with all the winter crud off.

Very nice! I stillcan't decide if I want to go coverless, but the RT was one fo the first I saw that I acutally liked. If I did go with a cover, it would be between the RT or Undercover. The other thing hindering my decision is that I kind of want a tool box, and usless I just get a chest style, I don't think the RT would work with a box that sits on the rails.
BTW, how much did you all pay on your RTs?

I got mine at autoanything.com for $341 delivered. They also threw in an Extang Tailgate Seal. I haven't installed the seal yet, it's too cold here!
They also offer a version of the RT that fits with a toolbox. That might work great for you!

My previous cover was an Extang Black Max. While it was a very good cover, the snap style didn't work well in cold weather. I'm really happy I got the RT this time!

I found one site that sells the RT for $312. The tailgate seal and Tonno cleaner are sold separately, and judging from the cost of them, adding both to the price of the tonno alone equates to about $340+. I did see that they offer one if you have a tool box, so that's even better. But hey, for just over $300, it's not a bad price at all. I may end up just going with this one instead.

Wow! That's a great deal! +
Here's where I found the Extang RT for $312. I'm bookmarking it for when I get ready to order. Hopefully, this is a legitimate website...seems like it is.

After some research and a lot of reommendations from fellow members, I am going to be getting an Extang RT when money allows. It has such a sleek design to it compared to the other covers out there for the 2004+ trucks, and is priced pretty well.
How well does the RT seal out the elements? I don't live in a climate that receives heavy snow, but we get our share of rain. Summers are quite dusty here as well, and I know that a lot of dust finds its way into the bed...

While I've only had mine for two winter months now, it does appear to seal out moisture just fine. I can't say about dust yet.
Extang does recommend re-sealing the velcro before entering a car wash. I push down my velcro before washes, as well as other random times I think to do it.
I think you'll like the RT.

^Good to know.
I will never take my truck through an automated carwash, so that aspect will be a non-issue to me... though it is good to know. I have a few other things on my list ahead of the cover, but I will get one eventually.
