LINE-X weighs .7 pounds per square foot at 1/8" thickness. So, you're talking about 60 to 80 pounds for a truck bed (the bedliner is thicker than 1/8" on the floor) but you're only talking about maybe 200 pounds for an entire pickup truck including the bed. That's nothing for a truck.

like i said 200-300 pounds. Its not alot yes, but just b.c you can have 9,000 pounds payload doesnt mean you do every day. Fuel economy will suffer, not to mention if you get real technical the surface wont be a smooth and aerodynamic....

Lots of people do interiors - especially if you do a lot of mud, great product. On the exterior, I've seen trucks done in Line-X and urethane paint. Neither protects from dents and the urethane is almost as tough to scratch.

My thought would be if its to be different or a "style" thing (we all like different things), that would be one thing. But if it is for sheetmetal protection... might be very slightly better.

I asked my local dealer about doing the inside of one of my Jeeps. His price was around $500 - even though he knew I was bringing a completely bare tub on a trailer. I would think he'd want at least that for the outside on a disassembled truck and a lot more if the truck was all together - lots of prep and masking.

Truckgasm, what would you typically charge... kind of curious... maybe my local guy just doesn't like me.

Line-X and camo. Urrrr, urrrr, urrrr....

Saw a Grand Cherokee a few weeks ago that had a camo paint job over Line-X. It actually looked like a daily driver with clean inside and relatively low profile tires and some nice blacked out off-road racks/external tire/top cargo rack. I'm not a 4 wheel guy, but two words came to mind...

Bad @$$. -H

I was wondering Truckgasm, How much does it cost to color match line-x the bottom part of the truck? like in the picture of the red truck. Also, is it possible to line-x plastic?

neato an m&m car... Im guessing because i looks like the shape of a peanut M&M.

anyways the whole vehicle with Line x I think only looks to be at home on a true off road vehicle .

But if you just did the bottom 1/4 I think it would be perfect, but maybe Im just bias because its what I am going to do come income tax.

I did the whole car becasue it was originally blue and she wanted it painted yellow and I wasn't about to put a $1200 paint job on a $1000 car when it cost me only about $200 worth of material to spray it with liner.

I have a friend who herculined (sp.) the tub of his jeep (whole interior) and it came out very nicely. Its awesome because the jeep is only used off-road that and his waterproof seats and dash make it one easy inside cleanup...one part hose, 1 part pressure washer.

With that M&M car I can't stop thinking if someone stole it, what the cops would put out on the radio..."Were looking for a 1990's yellow M&M!"
