Tonneau Cover Sizing

I have a 97 F250 LD (4wd/Lariat/XtndedCab) that I am finally looking at getting a tonneau cover for. Lately, I've seen a lot of usd ones come on the market (why people sell the truck but not the cover with it i sbeyond me, but...)

One that I'm interested in is a Fold-A-Cover but the model the seller lists is for a 98-2007 F250 HD Short Bed (6'6"). I contacted the manufacturer and all they will tell me is that there are two models one for the LD (150/250) and another for the HD (250/350) for the same model years.

Is there really a difference between the beds for these models? (Fold-A-Cover says that the model for the 150/250 LD will fit on my truck but won't tell me if there is any difference between that and the one for the HD model.)

I just thought that the bed sizes were the same (both 6'6").

Sorry for rambling. The price for the used cover is very good but it will take a 5 hour round trip drive to get it. Just trying to avoid wasting that much time/gas.

Thanks

There is quite a bit of difference between the 150/250LD and the 250HD bed when you start putting covers on them. The difference is in the width, most people don't know that the bed is tappered and that it is actually wider in the front than in the rear, and the 250HD is 3 inches wider than the 150/250LD.
