Tonneau Cover Keys??

I got my 2002 Ext Cab truck and it came with a tonneau cover already on it. I don't know the brand of the cover because the sticker peeled off. Well i really want another key for the back to lock it with. I have one already but i t is bent and im afraid that it is going to break and won't be able to get stuff out/lock things. I have gone to a few locksmiths and no one can cut the keys for these. Anyone got suggestions of where i can find another key or have one made.

Thx!

The brand for the cover has to be labled somewhere else on the cover, so look around. Post a picture of it if now, and let people see it maybe they can figure out the brand and the company so you can call and ask for an extra set of keys. Why wouldn't they cut you a new key?

I had the same problem with my ARE.If the original key is diamond shaped at base you have to go to a dealer to get another as they are very long.I ended up grinding a blank down past the base so it looks like a flat bar before i had it copied and it does work
cheers

Wouldn't it have been easier to just go to the dealer and buy one for a couple bucks. I am an ARE dealer and I keep all of the extra keys in stock which I am sure most ARE dealers do, there are only 20 different ones.
