I picked up a Sportmaster Tonneau off of ebay, and it is the hinged kind (gas props, just like a hatchback on a car). The bottom rails that are closest to the tailgate that the gas props connect to stick out about an inch or so in the bed. It looks very similar to this pic:



I've got an 03 screw and because the bed is 5', I was looking into a bed extender. However, would the bed extender be prohibited by the bottom rails of the tonneau that the gas props connect too? It seems like I would hit the rails, not allowing me to open up the bed extender. has anyone run this set up before?
