Wheres Linex

Been trying to get a linex bedliner but noone in VA seems to be able to do what i want. all i want is to color match my truck. i see where some have color match with linextra. its like every line x dealer i call makes me feel like im some sort of fool. they either tell me the color will just fade and the black is the best way to go or there is no such thing has linextra. i tell them i have seen pics and they just tell me to bring in my truck have it done and then someone can paint it when theyre done. am i missing something here or is it that every linex dealer in va just doesnt know all about linex. you would think that if they were dealers they would at least know about their products and whats available.

I believe the Xtra is a fairly new product and it's possible that all Line-X dealers don't have it yet. When I had mine done back in March I was only the second truck my dealer had done with color-match Xtra.

That sure sounds like lousy customer relations though. I'd never do business with anyone who acted like I was a fool or they were doing me a favor just by speaking to me.

Hopefully TruckGasm will chime in here, he's a Line-X dealer and is always helpful.

Good Luck!

Most Line-X dealers do not offer Xtra because of the volatility of the top coat that goes on for the final color match, depending on what state you're in you may have a hard time finding someone that offers Xtra.

When I got my Line-X installed no one in Ohio offered the Xtra.

Doesn't really matter to me as the bed is covered with the tonneau most of the time.

Yeah, I could smell it for like 2 weeks.. not a nasty smell by any means, but it was noticeable that something was outgassing.

My 5.5 bed was like $620 for the Xtra color match (taxes and all).. I think the regular Line-X was about $450 or so before taxes.

Before Line-X :

After Line-X :

well finally got in touch with them and the guy on the phone was very knowledgable and made me feel reassured about his services and work. now all i have to do is drive about 4 hours and pay 720.00. cant even shop around unless i want black lol but thanks again truckgasm im going to have it done on the first. i like talking with him because he was just so frank and honest with answers, plus told me to call back with any questions. he even knew that he was the only one in the are from pennsylvania to south carolina that did the color match and xtra. told me if i wasnt doing the xtra with the color match it was a waste of time. only way he likes to color match is with the xtra. so he has my business now all i need to do is borrow some gas money because i burn premium

Sorry about the wallet pain that's involved but you'll feel at least a little better after you get it done and lay your eyes on it. Pearl Metallic Blue is gonna look REALLY good. The bedliner will have metallic flakes in it just like your paint.

That is the Xtra with color match. Sucks that it's gonna cost a bit more up there, a supply and demand situation for sure. That Xtra is one tough liner tho.

The experience I had was they needed the truck there from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., that may have just been an issue of only being the second Xtra color match they'd done and wanting to make sure it was right.

Also, the surface is a bit tacky for the 1st day, they asked me to not load anything in the bed for 1 day but to also leave the tailgate down for a good half-day. Wasn't a problem for me, just something to keep in mind.

Good luck, I know you're gonna love it!!
