Just installed my new Bedrug...and put it to work

After debating on the Bedrug and Dualliner I decided on the rug. Install was pretty straight-forward. I didn't get it lined up as perfect as it probably should be. But the bed is covered. I might go back later and try to re-adjust it and replace some of the velcro that didn't go exactly where it should.

Here it is:

And 15 minutes later I put it to work. Let's see how it holds up.

Is the bedrug like heavy-duty carpeting? Is it more like astroturf? What happens when it gets wet? Do you need to wait for it to dry out before loading, say cardboard boxes?
It looks damn good, just curious about how it handles weather..

Rug looks good, not trying to be a **** or **** retentive, but does the piece on the tailgate appear to be lighter in color than the rest of the rug?

Just looks that way. The bed was facing the sun when I took the pics. The tailgate was getting direct sun and there is a little shadow inside of the bed.

Looks good, but i hate the texture of cheap carpet. Also hate breathing that stuff in. Then there's the mold/mildew that gets trapped in it. That's why i'm glad i got a vinyl floor in my truck.

Won't the BedRug suck up water and cause my truck bed to rust?
" Actually, BedRug's closed-cell polymer construction can't hold water - it runs right off. This is not true of hard liners; water gets trapped between the liner and the bed, often causing rust."

The bedrug is not a cheap carpet, it is actually a plastic liner just spun into strands and flame bonded to the the polymer backing. There is no mod or mildew problems and it doesn't absorb odors or stains simply take it by the carwash and spray it out will dry in minutes and doesn't hold or absorb water.

Looks great, sorry you settled for the lesser product , but I'm sure it will serve you well. Have fun and keep us informed!

I don't see it as "settling" or an "inferior product" by any stretch. The two products have different advantages. As with anything, it all depends on your application and needs.
