Suggestions for new velcro for bedrug...

I got my truck with Line-X, but then decided later to put a Bedrug in. I got some super industrial strength velcro, and its losing its stick. Should I just get the replacement Velcro from Bedrug directly? (I bought mine used so I didnt have the original velcro). Or can you guys suggest a better kind of velcro. Its the adhesive on the back of the velcro that is causing me problems - its like it wont stick to the line-x.

TruckGasm hit that one on the head - it's the texture that makes it not stick - the adhesive will not only stick, but fill the texture.

Use it on the velcro - the velcro will be permanent.

Oh ok, I got it.

Would any stores sell that, or is pretty much an online-only product?

I've seen it in Pep Boys. I buy a larger tube at a professional paint store.

I am buying the replacement velcro kit from Wise Industries, and they recommended using an adhesive promoter. I might try that first...if it fails, I will move to the 3M stuff.

I use the 3M stuff to stick the LINE-X warranty tag on LINE-X. Regarding the LINE-X surface, I suggest you clean the surface first with denatured alcohol, methanol, or acetone in order to degrease it. Then use the 3M stuff.

The 3M would be the way to go to fill the texture and make it a smooth surface for the tape to adhere to. The other option would be to sand the line-x material to smooth out the texture and give the Velcro backing tape a good surface to adhere to.
