Okay... I just bought an '07 F-140 FX4: Why get Line-X versus a Drop-in Bedliner?

If you want a plastic liner, come on by, I'll give you one. Here's a old pic, I've got about double this amount now. Darn things are like rabbits....

My plastic "Ford" one is fine, especially considering it was free upon purchase. I do like the spray or roll on liners for one reason, my plastic tailgate piece is always loose. If I can eliminate all that, that'll be great. Otherwise the plastic is fine for what I do. No arguement the Rhino or Line-x are best, but it depends on need or care factor.

The good news is that it's nice to have choices!

I've pulled lots of plastic liners out of trucks. The damage I've seen varies from none at all to very bad. Most of the time, there are places here and there where the bedliner has rubbed through the paint.

This is a REAL picture of some damage from a drop in.

No argument that the beds Truckgasm sprays are first class jobs!

Truckgasm actually made my earlier point about drop ins wrecking the paint but not the galvanizing. In 30 years playing with trucks I've seen one truck that was rust out under the bedliner - older truck (pre-galvanizing) and totally ignored... the outside of the truck was actually worse than the bed. Not saying I haven't seen others with rust on them, but it is generally just surface rust.

IF I were going to do a spray in (and they do have their place) it would be in a custom application that would see little or no bed use... and I would probably do Line-X. Probably going to have two Jeep tubs sprayed inside.

But anywhere I going to be the least bit rough on... that's how I ended up at DualLiner!

I just purchased an 07 xlt lariat supercab and I opted for the good old ford plastic drop in liner, I get loads of mulch in the spring for my yard and I would rather shovel out and scrape the vinyl than scrape on a spray in liner and I like the 2 x 4 pockets that are built into the bed if I need to keep something in one place. I also like the way the liner matches the vinyl caps on the top of the bed.The spray ins in this thread do look nice though!! And I see built-in pockets in some of the beds from the factory...As someone else said, for show I would get the spray-in I guess, it does look nice in perfect condition.

Keep in mind that there's less than 50 Ameraguard dealers in the entire U.S. LINE-X has about 600, Rhino (I'm guessing) has about 1,200.

You're in Texas, right? I'm in California.

Bryndon, I'm impressed but what I saw with the DualLiner. I'm going to put some more thought into this and make a decision soon.

I like that the mat is a sturdy rubber while the sides are still hard.

The install of the dualliner looks very easy, too!

Install will typically take under 30 minutes if you stop for a cold one - hardest part is finding your Torx bits!

I can't express how excited I am with the DualLiner - I've been working here for 2.5 years and am as happy as I was the first time I saw one! It's easy to work for a company that you believe in completely!!!!

I've got another idea. You could call your local LINE-X dealers or any other bedliners dealers in your area and see if they have any to give you. That would be faster and less expensive. BTW, I'm leaving to go to LINE-X's international convention in Nashville. I'll be back on Tuesday.
