Thumbs up Installed the bedrug & FM Jack Rabbit today

We finally had a day warm enough in Atlanta to get the bedrug & Pace Edwards Full Metal Jack Rabbit cover installed. I'm just glad to get'em out of the living room.

Check it Out:

Dude did you install the bedrug yourself? and if so, how hard/easy was it?

I had the woman supervising, but it is a one man job. It was pretty easy using their instructions. The rug comes in two pieces to make it easy to carry (the floor/tailgate, and the sides -they zip together with a heavy duty zipper). It doesn't weight a lot either.

The hardest part was lining up the bolt holes on the OE tie downs. You have to make your own holes for them.

Surface temp on the bed must be 68 F for the velcro to stick. It was 55 F today, but the sun heated it above 68 F.

I installed my bed rug yesterday. Took like 2 hours because it was windy outside.

Awesome combo there jgonza5!

Looks great, is it an optical illusion, or does the carpet on the Jackrabbit roll up bin match the BedRug near perfect?

Most likely an illusion, the last time I did one of these covers the canister was a textured platic and not fabric lined.

OK< I am sold, I just ordered my BEDRUG and Extang Tri-fecta folding top. Pick up tommorrow (Wednesday) Will post pics when I get it all installed! Thatnks for the great picks and info!

(Any hints on a handy way to get the tie-down screws lined up? I heard to removed the tie-down, reinstall the screws, installed the rug, then "feel" the screwheads, mark, pull back the rug, slice and reinstall with tie down (on the outside of the rug I would imagine).
Thanks Again!

Also. where and how well is the alignment of the bedrug on the tailgate????

Thank Again!

I haven't done mine yet but I plan to take a ice pick and punch through to the tie down points soon as I get some new bolts. The holes are easy to locate with this bed rug since you can just release the velcro and roll it back to see.

It is very simple to line up the bedrug to match the bolt holes for the tiedowns. Actually the rug is marked on the backside to show you where to cut or punch through. I just make a 1/2" slit on the mark and push the bolt through this and put the tiedown on top of the BedRug.
