How's your BakFlip?
How's your BakFlip?
I'm starting to look around at getting a tonneau for my 06 Screw. I had the Advance Cover on my 04 and found that worked out real well for me. It was solid, lockable, and believe it or not completely waterproof. The only other cover I'm considering is the Bakflip. I read a lot about the installation and initial impressions, but not a lot about how they are holding up after several months use. So, what can you all tell me about it?
Here are some of my concerns that I would like some feedback on:
1. I like the fact that it is mostly waterproof. It wouldn't kill me if it leaked just a bit by the tailgate or something like that, as long as it was minimal.
2. Ability, or inability to open it without opening the tailgate. The Advance cover didn't require the tailgate to be open in order to open it. Do you all that have the Bakflip find this to be an inconvenience? I really wonder if this would bother me at all.
3. Ability to drive with one or two panel open and secured. I think I read somewhere that someone said you can't actually drive with the panels folded. That is one feature of the Advance cover I can't live with out, this is a must for me.
