I'm seriously thinking about one of these.... http://www.checkerpro.com/hardcovers.html

They are manufactured right up the road and my father in law just put one on his truck last week. When they say flush.. these things are flush.

Not sure whether you could stand on it or not..... father in law wouldn't let me try.

Another vote for snuglid. It's low profile, sturdy, and completely sealed.

Personally, I don't like the flush look. It is the raised look of about 2" that makes the truck so distinctive when it has a cover. just my opinion. That is why I don't have one of the roll backs.

I guess that's why there are so many options out there.

I don't like the hump back appearance of the raised ones. Not everyone is looking for an appearance add on. I want the hard cover functionality without the obvious visual.

The one I listed being roughly half the price is just an added bonus.

I'm not that fond of Snuglid. No flames.

As far as a fiberglass lid, I'm starting to like the Jason Rage. I like the "lines".

If you like or need to haul and take the lid off frequently (more than once a month) the Undercover is the way to go. The painted fiberglass looks good but are heavy and require too much care IMO

The fiberglass lids are somewhat heavy, but can be easily removed with 2 people. As far as care goes, I have not had to do anything to mine since I put it on. Just wash it with the rest of the truck.

I chose the snuglid because it is solid and follows the lines of the truck and is color matched. I do not care for the plasticy look of the undercover lid. I don't care if it's lighter, it looks like a plastic piece of crap. That's just me though, others like it and that's fine.

Yea I guess I should clarify the "care" portion. You have to be careful that it doesn't get scratched when you put them down. I just lift off the UC and plung it down on the driveway or lean it against the house.

The Fiberglass covers do look great.

I just got an Undercover installed last week. I thought the black plastic matched the details on my XLT really well. Have a look at my gallery im sure you will agree.

I agree, it does look nice. There's enough black plastic on our truck's exterior that it matches well.
