Question for the Line-X dealers
Question for the Line-X dealers
Alright; it's been awhile since I've had a spray in and never a line-x. My current truck has some surface rust (in small scratches) througout the bed.
My question is, will I need to sand and re-primer the scratches or will the line-x actually seal it to the point I wouldn't have to worry about rust. I wonder because once it's on I don't want the bed to start rusting through when I've kept it nice with a couple of rattle cans and some self etching primer every few months.
Just debating between giving it a chance since most of my friends are happy with theirs. Nine out of eleven people is a pretty good ratio.

I'm a LINE-X dealer.
If it's surface rust, no problem, the LINE-X dealer will sand it off. If it's a little worse than surface rust, the dealer will sand off what he can and then (should) apply a special LINE-X primer called XPM. If it's deeeeep rust, you have a problem because it basically can't be removed and nothing is going to stick to it.
BTW, I'm in Fort Worth and I've had many customers come to my shop from Houston to get LINE-X Xtra.
