Went into a local vendor near me to see what kind of deal they'd make me for a Bedrug and an Undercover and the guy quoted me $1650 installed. Man.. I'm trying to support my local vendors here but that's freaking insane.

What's a good online vendor for this stuff? Wait... don't we have a member here selling Bedrugs? Thanks doods.

 

Interesting question, as I was reading your post, I noticed a sponsors ad in the top left corner of the page. So I clicked on the sponsors link, they are selling the Undercover for $599 with free shipping.

OK, just checked the link I posted to make sure I did it correct........and they do offer the bed rugs starting a $280. Add it up and you can save almost 50% off of your local vendor, plus possibly the state and local sales tax if this applies in your state.
I to like to support the local economy, but not at the expense of my over paying to do so.

So lets see, you said, Most places sell it for $599 (Undercover). The same link sell the Bed Rug for around $280. Yet you were quoted $1,650 installed. And you are looking for a better deal,..... aren't we all..
$599 plus $280 equals $879.
Quoted $1,650 minus the above $879 leaves a difference of $771 in your pocket. And not to mention you have the opportunity to support a vendor that supports this website.....................what am I missing?
Sorry, I only thought that if you can't support your local economy it would only be right to support the vendors that support the on-line community you enjoy.

Hey have a little decaf there jonrjen. I was just in shopping mode and wanted to make sure that two minutes after I ordered I wasn't going to feel like an idiot for spending too much. Seems like that happens to me all to often so I was just trying to be careful.

I went ahead and ordered from truckcandy.com just a little while ago and they've already validated the decision. Apparently an error in their Undercover part numbers on their site caused my order to bomb. Their shopping cart charged my card but didn't record the items that I ordered so when I got the order confirmation it showed I had paid $888 for nothing. I wasn't too worried and was in the middle of writing an e-mail asking what needed to be done to correct things when one of the Truckcandy guys called me on the phone. He had seen the error and called on the spot. In a couple minutes everything was fixed up with my gear arriving end of this week or early next week. Damn good customer service.

I do indeed owe you an apology. My post came across in a manner that was borderline, just plain rude. This was never my intention.
I guess a short work week that starts with early morning meetings and ends with too many days of out of town company over the Holiday left me a bit on edge.

Just to point out that the banner ads are not direct website sponsors... the ads are done by Google and I am like most others a Google advertiser so my ads run here as well as many other places... So if you look at it that way just about ALL accessory sites out there are site sponsors....
