Just installed a Bedrug
I got my Bedrug today. I was hoping that because I ordered it directly from Ford, that it would have a Ford logo instead of the Bedrug logo. Well, I was right!
The installation went smoothly enough except for running out of sunlight and having to finish using work lights.

As you can see, I had some "professional" help in the form of my wife while doing the installation. Went much easier with her there.
Count me as happy with the Bedrug so far.

I do like that Ford logo, but I will be happy to have Bedrug back there also.

It took a little longer then usual as we did it using work lights. Probably two or two and a half hours. We weren't hurrying, kept checking to be sure everything went properly. Biggist problem was the tie downs. I crawled under the truck and poked a sheet rock screw through the holes in the bed while my wife cut a hole and started the screw.

Having my wife help was obviously faster than doing it myself. I probably would have still been out there crawling up and down for the tiedowns. However, my nice little pocket knife would still have an edge on it!! Women just don't treat knives like men do! If you have help, give them a cheap steak knife to ruin!!!

I paid $350 for it from my dealer. List is $400. A little whining and crying and groveling and begging saved me 50 bucks. So, yes. I paid 50 bucks for that little blue oval. I also didn't have to watch for the delivery truck and / or have the thing stolen because they delivered while I wasn't home.

I understand you can use one trouble free without a tonneau. I would be sure to reinstall the tiedowns though, to prevent it from lifting in the wind.

I love the way those things look and feel, but I don't think I would get one without a cover of some sort even though they may withstand whatever the weather can throw at them.
Just the normal amount of dust and dirt that collects on your truck will really collect in that carpet. Sounds like constant pressure washing or shop vac time to me.
If you ever opened your rear slider before you cleaned it I bet the dirt would choke you to death.

I don't have a cover on mine yet and have no dirt issues. If a fine layer of dirt was present, it would get blown out when driving on the highway.
With regards to the re-installation of the tie downs, once you remove them, you can drop the bed-rug in, start the velcro procedure since you work from the bottom up and from the inside out, when you get to the area of the cleat, push firmly on the bedrug from the carpet side and the cell backing will retain the indents from the screw holes. Then you pull back and pierce the bedrug from the inside and stick the screw from the outside.
