Red face BEDRUG - RUST?? / Thick enough ??

I'm new here and would like to ask if anyone thinks a Bedrug, having seams as they do, and the fact they don't bond to the bed metal like spray-on liners do, could potentially encourage rust in a truck bed with visible usage (ie scratches and the like)? What about in a clean truck bed? Do they dry fast? Thanks for your time. Also, I did ask for and receive a sample of a bedrug. Its nice stuff, but those that have one, is it thick and substantial enough in the thinnest sections to not tear and to feel good on the knees? Thank you in advance for your help.

New here myself. I'll just sit over in the corner...

...and wait for someone to reply to you, 'cuz I have the same questions. Bed Rug/Spray-in, spray-in/Bed Rug??????????? Tonneau/shell, shell/tonneau?????
Flowmaster/Magnaflow, Magnaflow/Flowmaster?????

I'd like to post a picture of my new XLT Scab, but I can't find the right button.

waiting in the corner.

I haven't torn mine yet, and it is awesome on the knees. Overall I'm very happy with it, and feel it looks 10x better than any other liner. Get it and you won't regret it.

As for the rust, ask me that in another 5-10 years.

dzervit, thx for the information...

I'm gonna order mine right away after I read a bit on which vendors to use or stay away from. Looks like we'll both see on the rust issue. Again thanks for savin a rookie.

No problem. After hauling a bed full of cedar mulch my bedrug was gross & a nice dark red color. A few bucks at the quarter wash & a vacume job later it looked like the day I bought it. I'm convinced! Rusty metal objects leave a tougher stain but everyone has come out thus far.

Why not put in a Linex and then cover it with the bed rug. Problem solved. $600 total and when that sissy rug gives out you'll have a real liner all ready to go...

Seriously someone here did cover a rhino with a bedrug and it looked great.

Starting to research this for my spankin new F1fiddy Screw. I may end up doing both, lay down the Herc, then put a bedrug over it....or maybe just a mat, that way I can afford a nicer trailer for the off-road rig.

Just got mine installed today along with the tonneau cover. I wish I had gone with these bed rugs on my last trucks. These things are sweet!

cross my mind many times and if I had the change that's exactly what I'd do. In fact if I can catch my wife lookin the other way, I just may hurry and get the liner, and throw that bedrug down and no one would be the wiser. Thanks for helping me find a way to rationalize the move (y'know ya never know when that bedrug could give out. I'm just protecting the investment)!

I'm just sittin hear holding your damn cig and you go off and buy you a new RUG!. Ok, where and how much. I saw one on hoosier**.com not sure exactly the site but it was $289 shipped to the front door. I'm really thinking hard about a spray on first like LineX. That'd be the ultimate. Bring on the rust, the rain, the rocks, the mud, the ...oh I forgot I only use it for bat bags and footballs for little league. But hey...y never know!
And for the Peragon....can ya help me with the reasoning. Price is good no doubt but I read a disturbing incident on this site, Ill try to find it for ya if you're interested. I'm leaning Bak Rollbak...anyone give that a thumbs up? if not I'm all ears. thanks
