possible to install a bed?

Hey,

I thought it'd be extremly cool if somsone took say a lightning, carpeted the bed and installed a real matress in it. How big is the bed on a lightning exactly? Does anyone have measurments? Can the tailgate be opened without propping the hardtop cover up? Wouldnt it be cool if someone did this? How hard do you think it'd be to make the tailgate open from both sides?

Pimpin' indeed. I installed my Bedrug last weekend, and the closest thing to Pimpin it was an SVT patch sewn over the Bedrug logo. Because its Red (the patch as well as truck), the guys at work immediately said the "Pimp" word.

I use the bed of my truck too much to install a mattress, and anyway, that Bedrug has some nice soft padding underneath anyway
