BedRug. Nice.
BedRug. Nice.
I just installed a Bedrug (TM) in my new 2004 F150, and thought I'd post some insights.
1. Installation was pretty simple. The velcro strips hold the rug in place very well, and the rug fits the bed to very close tolerances. One hint - don't wax the bed before installing the rug. The velcro strips won't stick to a waxed bed.
2. The quality of the rug is very nice. It has a thick padding, and a nice feel to the displayed surface. The rug is soft enough to sleep on, and looks very professional when installed. The rug surface resembles a high quality version of the rug that covers the trunk of a Lexus or Mercedes.
3. I do have my rug covered with an Undercover tonneau, so I can't comment much about dirt, and water issues.
4. Customer service from the Bedrug factory is first rate. I needed additional velcro strips, and they mailed me a set free of charge within a week.
5. I bought my rug from the Capworld web site. Pricing was very good, and delivery quick.
6. I did buy a quality rubber pad, which covers the bottom of the truck bed. This offers a couple of advantages: creates a non-sliding surface so that things in the bed don't slide around, and protects the bed and the bed rug from damage and dirt. My pad was $69, and I purchased same from a local parts outlet.

Good review. I absolutely love my Bedrug/Undercover combo as well.
Now I just need http://www.truckaddons.com/Catalog/s...trail_seal.asp to seal the bed.

I've had my Bedrug about two months, and I've been running without a cover all that time. It still looks and feels as good as new, and aside from a bad experience hauling some bales of hay (the hay tended to stick to the Bedrug with some tenacity), clean-up has been a snap. I highly recommend it.
I installed my Bedrug this past weekend in my L, and lovin' it! With the Hurricane, stayed close to home and gave me time to do it. Install was a lot easier than I had imagined. Even had an SVT patch sewn over the "Bedrug" logo to match exterior of truck (pics in sig gallery). A Bedrug is definately the way to go unless you're hauling mulch 24 x 7!
