Tool box???

I was wondering if most people like the look of a tool box? Also how are they secured to the bed or are they? Any other comments are welcome, because i am debating on whether or not to get one.

I like the way my tool box looks, we took it out to put a topper on while we were traveling last year and it looked so bare without it! Not sure about the plastic ones but mine is secured with a clamp that hooks to the inside lip of the bed rail. The clamp has a bolt that goes through the tool box and is tightened with a nut from inside the box. Make sure you secure it because we had a friend who didn't and his box flew out of his truck while he was driving down a bumpy gravel road!

unsecured toolboxes have been known to travel through the back window during hard braking.

A very dangerous situation.

I like the clamp idea. I know some have just drilled and screwed the toolboxes to the front of the bed.

So most tool boxes come with a mounting bracket or something?

My Delta didn't come with any mounting hardware. I used the hook idea. It did explain it in the booklet that came with the box.

Has no-one done a soft cover with a tool box?
