Talking Got one!

Thanks to those who responded about the bedrug. I bought one today from Surplus Equipment (1-888-494-4011). Paid $329 shipped after $30 military discount. Not bad. Will pay $45 to have it installed by the company installing my Leer tonneau cover that finally made it in!! I'm a happy camper. Thanks again.

Sorry I did not see your first post in time to reply. I have a bedrug that I installed myself. It took about one an a half hours. I took the tie downs off the truck and reinstalled them inside over the bedrug. If you can peel and put down precut strips of velco, you might want to save the $45 and install it yourself. You can find pictures of a young lady installing a bedrug in one hour on this site or was it the bedrug site? Anyway this was my first install and it was real easy, even for me. Hope you enjoy the bedrug.

InHarmsWay, thanks for the advice, but I always throw away money like that. Don't even change my own oil. I like the peace of mind of being able to go back if something goes wrong. BTW, supposedly the HD F-150 is getting the L engine for either 02 or 03! That's gonna be one badass truck in my garage!!

my rug is in!

so the bedrug has now been installed. It took me just under 2 hours, including cleaning the bed.

First concern: there seems to be a lack of adhesion to the sides. There are a couple of "bubbles" near the wheel wells.

Second Conern: I had to remove the rails and try and "tuck" the top edges of the rug under. The rails are standard on the Harley Supercrew. I don't know about the others. After the "tucking", the rails bow inward because they weren't made to accomodate 3/8" of carpet between the plastic and the sheetmetal.

Third Concern: It's already stained... :< I live in Georgia Red Clay Central and even though BedRug said their product wouldn't stain, well ... they were wrong.

Overall Impression: Very positive even with my three concerns! Not a bad solution for $280 + shipping.
