Post Bedrug

Anybody got any input on the Bedrug? Where did you get it and how tough was it to install? I'm considering installing one without buying the under side of the Snuglid part. Thanks for any input.

Belvadere,

The Bedrug is money well spent in my book. It looks great and keeps things from sliding around. I thought that it was very simple to install. I see you are in Dallas. I got mine in Garland at Express Products 972-487-8700. Give them a yell. As for the underside of the snuglid I'm not sure. If your talking about placing a carpet on the underside. I have not done that to my ******* and it does not take away from the look of the Bedrug.

Mumbly, mind me asking what they charged you for the Bedrug? Yep, that underneath side of the cover is what I was talking about. It seems a lot of places think that piece alone is worth $100. Not me. I think I can live without that piece. Like you, I don't think it detracts from the look at all. Thanks for the lead. I'll give them a call.

DFW Camper wants $399 for it, installed (but I think that's the list price...which may be what a fellow has to pay around here). I'd like to do a bit better than that if I can.

Belvadere,

The price that you have been quoted is what I paid. I got a feeling that Bedrug has a lock on that price because everyone I called had the some price.

I bought my Bedrug a couple months ago at Marfred Auto Parts in Pittsburgh for $299.It was very easy to install, but there is an excellent set of pictured instructions at www.billstruckware.com.This really helped!
For the tie downs you can either take them out prior to installation, then punch holes and reinstall over the liner....or slice some slits where each one goes so the liner can be easily removed/installed.I chose the first.I also installed some tailgate weatherstrip,to help seal the bottom from salt, dirt, etc.(I have an ARE cap on top.)
But hey, maybe I'm ahead of myself here, you probably haven't bought one yet. They are by far the best carpet kit,you get what you pay for!I am very happy with it.
As far as availibility,I had to do some searching for the best price.I started with www.bedrug.com. or call them at 800-700-0336.
They told me all local dealers in Ohio and Pa.Prices can vary widely. Good luck.

Thanks garthr and mumbly. I'm getting closer everyday to making this purchase. I'll check out the website of the place where you got yours. A hundred bucks is a hundred bucks. I can't imagine the installation being worth that. I haul hockey equipment and need something I can clean out easily. Ever smelled hockey gear? Not a pleasant odor. Thanks again guys.

All,
No other bed liner can match the versitility of the BEDRUG. I haul everything in mine, and it cleans up like new every time. It has been uncovered for 12 months, and still hugs the contours of the bed like it did brand new.

Hey I was just about to get a spray-in bedliner for my truck, until I thought I would take a look at the bedrug.

I think I like this better. I would see where a spray-in would come in handy if you do heavy hauling. For me, I'll put my music equipment back there and make the occasional trip to the home improvment store for landscaping materials, etc.

I think the bedrug would be the ticket, what do you guys think?

You can get a free sample of the material from www.bedrug.com. Waiting for mine. This sure seems like a good alternative to the permanance of spray-in or damage from a hard liner.

I just received a new JC Whitney catalog the other day. They have Bedrugs for $349.95 - 15% coupon on the back of the catalog. Once you deduct the 15% and then add $21 for shipping (to my zone) it comes to under $319 total.

I've had my BedRug for a year and a half and it beats anything I've had on any other truck. It looks good, cleans up easy, and best of all - if you need to get something out of the bed, it is easy on the knees. My grandkids think I had a play area installed in my bed just for them, they love playing in it. This coming week it will be used to view the fireworks, comfy to sit on and keeps the kids out of the way. I don't recall what I paid for it but I won't hesitate to have another installed when it comes time to replace the current hauler.

I don't know. I'll look tonight. The coupon is on the back of the catalog. If you want a catalog, they're free. Just goto www.jcwhitney.com and sign up for a free catalog.

Hey Dennish, do you have any pics of your truck that you could post or e-mail to me? It sounds similar to what I want and I like to see how yours looks.

Thanks,
Steve
