Rhino Spray on Liners
Have a new truck on order and am wondering if anyone has any opinions (positive or negative) about the Rhino spray on bed liners. I am thinking of getting the bed sprayed. Don't car for bed liners so I am figuring this is my best option. The literature sounds great, just would like to hear from those of you who have had it done.
Thanks,

I've only seen a couple of Rhino Liners and I was disappointed with all of them. One ahd started peeling in several places. And they didn't look very neat. Some of which may be due to the person applying it.
I have a Line-X and love it, I learned about it from this site and it seems to be the most popular here. It's not soft and doesn't plug the drain holes for your bed. You can go to their website and get a sample of the stuff, it is really tough. I get compliments frequently about it.

I agree with all4chem. Line-X is a different technology than others like Rhino, Gatorback, or Tuff. I even heard where the Navy was using Line-X on decks of submarines as a non-slip surface. Think about the pressures in saltwater that the polyurethane must endure. Says alot for the product.

I just had a rhino lining sprayed in my truck. I like it. It looks real good. The dealer that installed it did a good job. The front of the bed still drains. I can access all the panels and bolts too.
thats my 2 cents.

Thanks guys for the info. I found a Line-X dealer near me and I am going to call him tomorrow and see what the price difference is. I will also call the Rhino dealer and ask him why I should buy his product instead of the Line-X since I think the price is going to be pretty much the same.

Hey there all you "rhino-dissers" -- I have the Rhino (1 year) and have been very pleased!! I have hauled old RR ties, new landscape timbers, creek gravel, old broken-up concrete chunks, compost and topsoil. Nothing has affected it -- and it looks new -- I got the gray (considered a color) to match the bed rails and it looks sharp. My cost was $302.00 inc tax. I would buy another if the chance comes along.

Guys,
A spray-in liner, whether Line-X or Rhino, is no better than the people that install it.
If they are hackers then that's what you'll get, a hacked job. If they are skilled installers then either one is just as good as the other and will look like a million bucks when finished and with some care will look the same in a few years.

Have any of you had any problems with the Rhino fading? I've heard that the Line-x does, and if that's the case, I want no part of it.

I have had the Rhino liner in 3 trucks and one I have has been in there for over 4 years in the TEXAS heat I might add and I LOVE IT. It still looks brand new. I have hauled everything including butt in it and old motors and all kinds of spilled liquids and not a tear, scratch or anything. I have had the bedliners from Ford and they are crap. thay last a lifetime like they say but the let everything slide like a greased piece of ?????. I prefer the spray on liners and It does make a difference who sprays it. I have seen several other people here in Fort Worth who have had their bed done by other Rhino liner people locally and theirs is not near as thick as mine. I would suggest that you have a talk with whoever is going to spray your truck and ask them if they put multiple layers on the bottom and tailgate. If they are worth a damn they had better. I have 4 layers on the bottom , tailgate and 2-3 on the sides . If they don't then run and run fast because it is the thickness that will last in the long time. I would drop by his shop and look at some of hie finished product just to see his REAL work and NOT some prepared sales brochures that are dione perfectly to impress and not possibly their everyday work.

The fire department that I work for has had a Rhino liner in a 1993 F150 since it was new. We have had no problems with fading, chipping, peeling, or cracking. This is a credit to Rhino, because if you know any firemen, you know that we can break anything.
I talked with the guy at Ziebart about the rhinos... he said that the Black ones will never fade, but the tinted ones (I would like a grey that approximates the bed-rail caps) require an annual application of a UV stabilizer to keep them fresh... anybody have a colored one? How's it look?
I own a shop and spray super liner. It looks like the line -X and is stronger. I know no one has really heard of it but check it out on the internet its great. I would strongly sugges not getting the rhino not to bad mouth the stuff its not bad at all but there is alot of stuff that is better. Rhino was great in the 80's when it came out but technology moves on. If ford still made the model-t with no improvement would any one buy Ford? Any one interested in doing starting there own business call me at
