I got mine last week from California Concepts, too. Now I'm waiting for my SnugLid to arrive so that the BedRug doesn't get too grunged up.

I have a question. For those w/ BedRugs, who did or did not reinstall the factory tie-downs on the sidewalls? I'm thinking about leaving them off since I want to be able rinse off the BedRug w/o leaving water underneath.

Question

Howdy SVT,

I waZ wondering is the BedRug already cut out for the tiedowns in the bed. Or do you have to cut them out. It sounds like it is not.

WoLF,
There are no cutouts for the tiedowns. The instructions suggest to either cut slits to let them protrude through, or to install them over the BedRug.

I put the tie-downs on top of the Bedrug.
I cut holes just big enough to pass the
screws. The foam mold shows locations
for the screws, but I marked locations
for the holes with the rug folded back.
The mold locations are close ...
The Bedrug is pretty good! A nice look with
great protection. However, the loops tend to
remove the hooks from the hook-and-loop
fastening system, and I currently have a
poor fit in one corner.

Question

Fred150XLT, have you tried stuffing the bit of BedRug between the bed and the tailgate thru the opening rather than leaving it above? Over on the Lightning board, someone recommended this, and it works perfectly.

======
For those w/ a BedRug and the SnuGrip clamping system for the SnugLid, did the SnuGrips have to be installed over a part of the BedRug's sidewall near the tailgate? My lid dealer did this, and I wanted to check to see if this was standard install procedure.
