Smile Line-X finally!!!!!!

Finally got my bed sprayed by Line-X. Looks great and the quality is superb. Dealer was great and all went well. I was a little nervous about this for a while since my truck is new. Great addition and I would recommend it to everyone.

Man I could not have taken that so I just left it with them. They seem too sure of thier selves for me to watch and supervise. I picked it up and had a black bedliner in my new white truck. That is the best way.

Question

Triton, how did they work around the cleats (or whatever those "fasteners" at the bottom corners of the bed are called)?
Did they spray around them or did they remove them prior to spraying your bed? I am still debating on wether or not to have my bed sprayed.

Well each Line-X dealer might be different, it depends on the guy who does the work and how he handles it. But here is what the guy did on mine. First he removed the tie downs and reinstalled them afterwards. He also masked off the screw holes in the tail gate, so that the gate latch is still accessible. He did spray over the bolts in the bed as well as the grommets at the base of the front of the bed. Although if you wanted he could have left them exposed.

Basically if you're thinking about it yourself, go for it. Just find someone who does a good job. After all the spray-in is only as good as the guy who does it.

Sorry it took so long to reply guys, my poo-doo is at work and I have been deer hunting all weekend.

When they sprayed mine, they removed basically everything. Bolts in the bed, tie downs, rubber inserts and the tailgate. They sprayed the bed and replaced the hardware so the bed could be removed without damaging the liner. All the bolts in the tailgate were also removed. The truck was completly covered and I didnt find any overspray.

Price was origanlly $370.00 here in GA and they had a sell for $40.00 off. So I paid $330.00 tax included. Not bad if you ask me.

I would recommend it to anyone. Good luck and let me know if I can answer any other questions.

DOGCAM: I just wanted to write to let u know the price of the LineX for a Flare Bed. I probably got it at the same dealer that did Triton's truck in Atlanta, and the price was discounted $40 when I got it also. Standard price was $350 - $40 = $310, and no tax. I am very glad that I had it sprayed as I am not one for the drop ins. Good Luck.

Triton,
I'm glad to here that you got your bed finally sprayed by Line-X . I have mine since 3/99 and love it. I paid $321.95 for mine, and that even included tax.

All the prices here sound very reasonable for what you are getting. Complete protection for your bed. I havent tried it yet but it looks very durable. I wont ever have another drop in liner. Spoiled rotten I guess.

Triton,
The liner is very durable. I have put everything that you can think of in my truck, and I haven't had the liner/bed damaged at all. I am very happy with it, and it has already paid for itself more than once for me.

Some states have no sales tax on labor. The prices for spray-in bedliners are 99% labor.

I just got my truck bed sprayed with Line-X today! It looks great. The guy who did mine advertised at the local Fair and was offering $50 off the normal price, so I ended up paying $291.50 after tax! He did a great job, removed all the bolts from the tailgate, the tie downs and the bolts that hold the bed to the truck! He said he removes the bed bolts because anytime Ford has to service the fuel tank or any associated components, they remove the bed from the truck! I'm going to get some black touch-up paint to pait the bolt heads so they match the liner! He also said Line-x sells a liquid cleaner that restores the luster to new after it's sat in the sun for a year! I don't know the cost, as I have a soft factory tonneau cover, so it won't see too much sun anyway!
