rollnlock install w/plastic bedliner
I just purchased a used Rollnlock from a guy and I want to try to install it without removing the Duraliner plastic bedliner (that came from Ford). On the rollnlock web-site they suggest cutting the corners and the back off the bedliner for the Rollnlock canister to seat properly. I'm curious if anyone out there has successfully done this. Or is it better to just go with a spray-in liner. Any suggestions?
I have different products than you, but I had a similar experience. Basically I just cut a slit into the corner radius with a rotozip. A dremel would work great also. This allows the canister to seat properly. Before I trimmed it the canister would not drop down as far as it was needed.
rollnlock install w/plastic bedliner
OK, I got the Rollnlock installed and I had to cut into the bed liner in a few areas. My only problem now is the tailgate. I have a plastic cover for the tailgate that is part of the bedliner package--it just screws onto the inside of the gate. I'm having a problem locking my rollnlock cover to the rollnlock tailgate rail on the tailgate. I think the plastic tailgate cover may be preventing the cover to close properly, but not sure. Also, how easy is it to remove the locking pins on the rollnlock tailgate rail? Has anyone ever removed them and not have the cover lock with the gate? I have a locking tailgate, so this may be my only option.
