Bedrug for Floor only
Bedrug for Floor only
I have a two week old 04 150. I had Line-X spray in a bedliner. Was interested in purchasing a Bedrug for those times that I need the bed to be smooth and soft (camping, hauling the dog around etc.) I don't want or need the sides, front and tailgate, but like the idea of a smooth bed at times. Has anyone ever tried to purchase just the floor part of a Bedrug.
Thanks

Unless you can find someone wanting to part with theirs for cheap, I think you're going to be stuck with buying the whole thing and modifing it. The bed portion and tailgate piece are one solid piece, so you would need to get that piece and cut it (wouldn't be hard at all).
Bedrugs run around ~$300.

I would look at using a heavy rubber bed mat instead of the bottom portion of a bed rug. The bed rug uses an adhesive velcro to hold it in place and I have a feeling the adhesive isn't going to stick well to the non-slip surface of the spray in bed liner (way too rough!) and the rug by itself is way too light to stay put with out the velcro.
Just my 2 cents.....

Besides not sticking to the liner, the bedrug is designed to follow the contour or the bed and the bottom contour is now somewhat filled in with the liner you put in. I would suggest indoor outdoor carpeting. Talk to a floor covering specialist about your options of securing it.
I Cut a piece of indoor/outdoor carpet for the bed of my truck. I only use it when we tailgate or go to the drive-in movies. I agree velcro would be the only way to keep it put. Im on the fence myself on wether to keep my drop in liner or go for the spray on.
Good luck,
