Rail Protector Removal

Does anyone know how the plastic rail protectors on most pick-ups are installed, or how to remove them?

They snap into place with plastic clips that are moulded into the caps. To remove them you just simply pull them off. Most of those plastic clips will probally break off. If your installing new ones that shouldn't be a problem.

Source for replacements?

Anyone have a source for replacements other than the dealer? My used 2000 F150 Flareside SuperCab needs some that are in better shape.
