I carefully removed the vinyl inserts in the liftgate area and carefully positioned and made holes in the bedrug to accept the removed inserts. I then used a soft hammer to reinstall the inserts through the bedrug. The installation turned out great. I may add I was involved with testing the extender at Ford Motor Co. in Dearborn, so I had previous experience with the concern. I was glad the installer did not do this, sometimes they do not take the time to do the job correctly, which is understandable.
