if it was me i'd get a line x or arma coatings spray in and then put the bed rug in, that way you can take the bed rug out to haul dirty stuff and be protected.

Bud4mikeie,

I'll be interested to see some of the responses you get..

Same situation..

I'm interested in getting a bedrug.. but the guy who owned my truck before me, scratched the bed pretty good.. no big dents, but definite metal exposure...

I have a hard time telling myself to spend the big bux on a spray in liner, to cover it with an expensive bed rug...

Later
Dan

well, if your just going to cover it and not worry about it again you can always go get earl sheib to do a quick paint job on the inside of the bed for corrosion resistance and be done with that. it would be much cheaper than a spray in liner.

If you are just going to cover it, I would assume that your concern is rust, and not appearance. If that is the case, a few spray cans of primer and rustoleum will do as much for it as an Earl Scheib paintjob, for a lot less money.
