Mirror reflectors turned into turn signals how to w/pics
Awesome, is pretty much the only way to sum that up. Great job and nice write up... You sure do like your lights. This might be another one I have to do over the summer. The first being addition of reverse lighting.
How does the LED strip mount? You glue it in?

The LED strip is mounted by the adhesive tape on the back of the LED's. The strip has it already.
nice job i really like it, looks like they came stock like that on the mirror. to bad i already put the black filler caps for the reflector spot in.
really like it though looks real good

Man that is pretty awesome, and frankly I am pissed at you for adding another project to my list of things to do. :-)
I do have one question - during the day, with the turn signal off, how does the reflector look since you cut out part of the white backing? I am just curious if you can see your cuts through the reflector. Is there a way that you could remove all of the white reflector backing? I guess if you did that then you would see the edges of the LED strip.
Let me know your thoughts. This is a pretty cool mod. Between this, the lights I want to add under my back bumper, and the lights I added in to my tool box, I think that will be enough lights for now. :-)

Is the turn signal wiring in the mirror already on the STX or did you need to wire it?
I think this has real trun out great and I thing I will be doing the same this weekend, the only thing that could make this better is if it worked with the parking lights just not the turn signal

The clearance after the hole is cut for the LED's is perfect for the LED strip. The strip fits almost flush when inside the hole. Even if you did not use the 3M adhesive tape to stick it to the housing, the LED would not move around if you cut slit just enough for the strip to fit.
