im half tempted to break out my soldering iron and do this right now. but i dont have any heat shrink i dont think and where every one used the tapit spilce could i just shave the coating off the wire and solder that connection? i just feel a soldered connection is better and safer if covered the right way.

so if i do it the second way under the sill i dont need the 12 gauge wire or any thing just some heat shrink and a soldering iron and some solder to tap the yellow/green wire to the light blue / black wire together.
