That's what I mean. It's good but doesn't look OEM.

black or red wire doesn't matter. In 16 years as a dealership tech, I have never seen wires ran outside the loom like that from the factory. Nice install though. I think you did a good job on the pillar pod. That thing will probably kill you if the "A" pillar air bag goes off though.

That was what I was thinking too. That gage will be up close and personal when that bag deploys. Eye level???

So I'm a noob and just got my ecoboost last night, but I come from a Mazdaspeed3 with many mods. I pulled my dashhawk out of my car to see if it would work with the ford, so far it seems good. does the same thing as your gauge, except I can pull it out in 1 minute with no trace and I can log every parameter I am watching and post graphs

Here is where I put it first

Good location but kinda hard to watch, it is now living right above the vent to the right of the gauge cluster.

anyone have any experience with the dashhawk in the ecoboost? am I wasting my time? i was thinking of selling it but if its working in the ford I will keep it.

Boost gauge install.

Great job, very professional looking. Thanks for the pics and write up. Now I have something to follow when I start to install mine.

Holy cow I was gonna post these pics to show where I have the gauge for my helper bags mounted and how I really hate that it's not visible while I'm driving. By looking at the pic I just realized that the stupid little coin holder under the AC vent would be a perfect place and I bet it would be a good fit. I'm going to try this after work one night this week. I will post a pic if it works out.

Pic of the coin holder I plan to pull out and replace with my air gauge.

Pic of where it's currently mounted

I mounted mine in the hole provided for the coin holder. 4WD trucks perhaps have the 2-to-4 switch there, but 2wd trucks have the coin holder. And behind the coin holder is a wiring harness connector (probably for the 4wd switch).

I'm trying to install a Roush Mechanical Boost Gauge in my 2013. One issue I'm having is the vacuum/ boost source. The vacuum line shown in this install doesn't exist on the 2013. The wiring is spot on great write up. But I can't find a place to tie into for the boost signal. Any help please from 2013 owners or anybody that has an idea.

Thanks

Found a spot!!! On the 2013 there is a large vacuum port just behind the throttle on the drivers side. It is plugged by factory with a rubber plug and clamp. Works great!!!
