How To: Manual to Power Pedals (2004-2008)
Pat do you remember the wire colors on that plug? I was down there today and found the two wire, light grey connector simply hooked up to a blank socket right above the left (driver) side of the brake pedal assembly pretty high on the firewall. It had a red and white wire...
I then spent about 10 min taking the entire drivers side dash/cluster/surround apart looking for the harness that would go to the button and couldnt find it.
I have the pedal assemblies lined up and ready to buy just wanted to see if that connector was the right one. I may be prewired just need to find out if there is a small harness that clips in and leads up to the cluster surround for the button.

While I'm sure Pat can give you an exact answer I think I can help - it was my truck. The pedals I bought had some of the wiring harness attached, though we didn't have to use it as my truck was pre-wired. But I went back to the box of parts to see if i could find the answer to your question.
The pics below are of a two wire, light grey connector I found there. If you look at #10,11,12 of Pat's pics of the brake pedals you'll see a wiring harness that leads to the motor on the brake assembly. The connector in my photos is at the end of that same harness - though the actual connector cannot be seen in Pat's photo, I'm pretty sure this is the one that goes into the brake assembly. If so, the wires on this connector are both blue-grey in color - one has a red-orange stripe on it, the other a black stripe.
The pics show the connector from the top, side and then conected to it's other half - which may be the blank connector you're talking about as there are no wires coming from it.
Hope this helps some - if I were as young, small and agile as Pat I'd just crawl under there and look - but I'm not.

As for the harness that goes to the dash mounted button or switch that activates the pedals it's simple to find. You should see a slightly raised switch cover in the dash surround where the switch/button would be if the pedals were pre-installed. This is just left of the steering column. (See Pat's photo) It is simply an empty shell but the wiring harness for the switch/button clips into it from the back. When you do the install you disconnect the harness, pop out that cover and pop in the switch/button and reconnect the harness. If it isn't there and easily found you may not have it pre-wired.
Hope this helps - Pat, I know, can be more specific.

Well i wasnt sure exactly on the colors, ive slept since then :o
But i did look up the diagram, so we have something official to look at

So it looks like a red wire and white wire go into the motor (two pin connector)
And the switch connector should be the following colors
I would venture as far as to say that if you have the blank switch panel on your truck it should be a plug and play application.

- Light blue with red stripe

Ford really did a number with these trucks... mines an xlt
I have the connector on the bottom near the pedal, red and white wire...
I then took my whole surround and cluster out to see if i had the other end tucked under somewhere and found nothing.
My surround doesnt have a pre popped out plug, its solid, but if you look at the back side of it, the place where the button would sit is there with the small surround where it would slide into place.
When i get a chance ill trace the red and white wires, they gotta lead somewhere.
Thanks for the info guys!
By the looks of it, all i really have to tap is an Illumination wire, and grab me a hot and fuse it. The other three are grounds, and the red and white are already there. Doesnt seem like it would be to hard for a non-prewired truck.
.
I believe that is the same plug, guess the harleys are wired just a bit different judging from those particular colors on it.
