Thumbs up Flame Gauge and white AC Panel Installed

Got them installed finally. AC panel was backordered and I waited 3 months to get them, but it was worth the wait. This gauge set is white by day and black with orange and red glowing flames at night. All of the numbers are blue.

Pictures aren't very good, but here they are:

I am very pleased with the fit and finish. The new overlay matches the stock one perfectly in size and shape. All of the indicator lamps are in the proper place and show up well. Install was easy, but a little scary. The needles are very fragile and would be easy to tear up if you aren't careful. From start to finish was about 1 1/2 hours taking my time. The only thing I am not pleased with is the AC panel illumination. It is very dim and hard to see at night. I am going to order some LED bulbs and see if that helps. The illumination on the gauge face itself is great and looks awesome at night.

I would highly recommend the NU Image products. It seems they have done their homework and have made a great product.

Looking good Robdude! I've looked at those before and decided against them, simply because they didn't fit the way my interior is headed. I have seen them in person on someones' truck, and agree they are sweet! I have something very interesting planned for mine, gonna drop some jaws I hope Either way the speedglos don't do it for me anymore, hehe.,,,,98

Oh, forgot something! If you pull the original a/c face off, they are much brighter!,,,,98

I did pull off the original AC face. It's been dim since I installed some cheepo super white bulbs. Maybe they are the problem. I might put my stock bulbs back in to see if there is a difference. Don't keep us in suspense for too long '98. Let's see what you got!

I forgot to mention something, too. Check out the painted AC *****. I painted them to match the dash a while back.

I am looking for anyone with their old gauges that want to sell them, I need them to make a pattern for each type, no/tach auto and 5spd and with a tach, also need old a/c panel for a template. Willing to provide shipping and compensation for the old ones if needed. They DO NOT have to be perfect, I only need one of each to use as a template so if they got damaged/scratched/torn but all the pieces are still there, then they will do for what I need.

Thanks!

This is one I did for a guy his name was "Speed Demon" so it is on his cluster now and flames and skull and crossbones. Where the SHIFT light is it now says " SHIFT STUPID! " and where the low fuel light is we ended up changing it to say " Use Dads Credit Card Now ". There are lots of silly ideas I had for them but some are just crude! lol

Each time I look at that cluster I can just see a photo image of a pair of hooters there, one in the MPH and one in the TACH. My wife said she would not pose for it though so I guess I gotta find a model!
Once I get the template done, I can produce custom ones for next to nothing compared to what the big guys want for theirs and use the same materials.

It is a bit%h when your job and your hobby run hand in hand like mine does. I get called on by our Church, our Law Enforcement , our Fire Department and every other place that knows we are community minded.
When it comes to cars, trucks and racing, we get a little carried away with the graphic side of it. I resist sticking vinyl on the truck even though we sell it to every kid in town and they always ask why I dont have mine plastered. I just love a clean truck with a good shine. I could live with some pearl white flames on my white truck but I can't bring myself to aim the airbrush at my baby! lol call me a chicken when it comes to that truck but every other truck out there is fair game. rotf

I love it!! Funny stuff on a gauge face! Be careful with that model search, the wife might not understand The work on those is great, don't be surprised if I email you, don't know if the other guy can do what I want or not. I asked him about it on the 3rd, and I haven't heard anything back since the initial responses.,,,,98
