Does anyone know where you can get the chrome emblems? I tried the acetone thing and it didnt seem to work maybe i just did do it long enough.

 

for the f150 emblems? yeah, just acetone them. i've never done it cuz i don't have f150 emblems, but it probably just needs a little more work into them
if you want the ford emblems chrome, get a heat gun and heat them up then peel the rubber piece off and the blue comes out and you have a chrome Ford emblem

 

What year is your truck????? If it's a 97-98 it won't work because the black is baked on.......You could go to a ford dealer and buy 99+ and acetone those...

 

o yeah, duh. forgot to mention that part . thats probably why it won't work if you don't have a 99+
emblems are like 14 bucks at the dealer though, so not too bad

 

The emblems haven't changed with year models, they're all the same. All you need to do is buy some new ones at the dealer. If you ask for 99 ups, they'll look at you funny I really wished they hadn't tried to save my acetoned emblems when the doors were replaced. There are pry marks in the chrome all around them, in other words they're junk. Now I have to do them all over, including buying new ones. Maybe I'll get the tailgate ones all around, the extra chrome left over at the bottom of XLT emblems looks funny.,,,,98
