Smile Custom Etched Rear Window!

Ok, we have been doing these for campers and rv's for years but I decided to do one for me when I found this new smoked back glass for just $8.00 on Ebay I could not pass it up! I laid out the design and blasted it, cleaned it and before I could get it in the truck, everyone in the shop wanted it! Now I dunno if I want to sell it and make a wad and make me another one with another design ( I kinda wanted to keep that one! ) ...
What do you guys think?

Can also do this custom for anyone that wants it done. A big Lightning bolt we did for a local L owner and it was sweet!

Actually we have a design for one!
Has the HD logo in the middle if the glass and flames on either side! Will work with slider as well or you could just do the center glass on the slider! It is really a cool effect, when it rains on it or it gets wet, it is almost invisible and as it dries off it starts to reappear! Wildest looking thing you have ever seen!

Thumbs up

COOL! It makes me wish even more that I had the solid rear window. That would look sweet with the skull grill, too! Can this be done on the truck, or does it have to be taken out?,,,,98

It can be done on the truck but I would not do it that way, ther eis just too much risk of paint damage by accidental slip or glass breakage while it is installed. If you get it done locally just make sure that they will stand behind their work if it breaks, and be prepared to shell out a small fortune. Most glass artist charge a huge amount for frosting or etching designs. We do it as art but also because we have a sign and design shop and we have the equipment and the know how already.

Oh almost forgot!
Harley#356 here is that design you asked to see.

Some of you guys with Harley Editions are soooooooooooooooo darn lucky! ( wife wont let me have one! )

I want that 1st one !!
if i did it, i would just tweak it a little. no flames (cuz there aren't any on my truck, and i know once i added one thing with flames, it would never end ) and then i'd have "Ford" on the left of the HD logo and "F-150" on the right of the HD logo, attached like how it is on the fender emblems

nice work!

Talking

You mean like this?

You know you gotta keep the flames on such a hot truck! lol
You should find a local glass artist and give him that design, if you need the actual cut file I would be glad to email it to the shop of your choice.

those both look awsome!!!!

could you email me the image for the HD logo with the wings, and then another one with a logo like this stereo window has? I don't have the money for any etching, but i've been wanting to get a front windshield decal for at the top of the window, and maybe one for the rear slider window. be cool if i could get it cut in white reflective vinyl

anyway, here's the stereo window from another guy's HD. Its almost just like the one you posted, except it has "Ford" coming off the left side, so its all symmetrical. thanks

That looks like faux etched glass vinyl, easy to stick on the glass and from like 5ft away it will fool most anyone. Drop me an email at my addy signs@sc.rr.com and I will send you the file sized to whatever your application is.
Do you want it like the pic you posted?

Question Custom design

Vaporlock, can you do any design? I have a design that was used on my rear fender of my FXR that I came up with myself. I had it on the back window of my contour but when I traded it in, it was removed. The etching is awesome. I'd like it etched on my center slider window only.
