Question Which tire gel/spray do you use?

I like Meguiar's but I was wondering if there was a good spray that might be easier to apply. I use "Bleach White" to clean them first.

I don't use the tire gels any more. Tried them at first, and while they do stay on the tire much longer than plain old tire dressing, they are much too difficult to clean off of the tire when it gets dirty. I now just use Armour All Tire Foam. Just spray it on a clean tire and let it soak in. I usually wipe the tires after an hour or so to keep it from slinging off. Also, you can add a second coat to get more shine if you need it.

MOVEOVER,

I wish people would've heeded to your name on the way to work this a.m.

I too use the Meguires. I clean the tire first. Use Westley's Bleach White on the letters. I picked up one of Eagle One's tire detailing sponges ( $1.99 @ Walmart, Pepboys, Autozone) and it went on really smoothly. I had tried rags before and they made a streaky mess.

best tire shine on any sidewalls is to use Bleachewhite, let sit for 5 mins, then use a scrub brush and clean all the residue off. Rinse clean and dry. When dry, spray Armor all Detailers advantage or Meguiars Tire gel (i highly reccomend detailers advantage) Let dry for an hour or so before driving. it will look great.

Talking

I use the bleach white to clean and then I use Black Magic Tire Wet to make my tires shine, sure after they get dirty it sucks but while they are clean it looks really good

Tire products

I use simple green to clean them, wheel magic for the rims, and Mother's Preserves for the tires. The mother's actually has a very nice smell to it compared to Armour All, so it actually works well inside the truck/car too.

I too use Wesley's Bleche-White to clean the tires. I think Armor-All tire wax does a much better job to shine the tires than any of the Meguiar's gels. The Armor-All tire wax is just as durable and is also much easier to clean off when needed.

If car wash soap doesn't clean them, then I use Simple Green. I either use 303 Protectant or Black Magic Trim & Tire gell depending what kind of look I want.

I must have tried 2 dozen different tire shines at least since i've gotten my truck. all of them had something i didn't like about them. my favorite for a while was the black magic tire wipes. their spray was crap, but the wipes was a whitish liquid, but it took two wipes to do my tires how i wanted them, so i only got 3 times out of a can.

by a long shot zaino is the best tire shine i've found. one coat = low gloss, 2 coats = high gloss, which is how i like it. it lasts about 2 weeks on average, and doesn't fling off, turn brown, attract dirt or dust, and actually like dries on the tire. i'm sold. its like 20 bucks for 16 oz, but it uses hardly any stuff for each tire. I must have done my tires about 8 times already with double coats, and have used less than an ounce!

I use armour all Rim cleaner, as well as the no scrub tire foam. Both of these work amazingly well, and don't damage the covering on my rims.
