From import to F-150!
What up guys, new here, coming from honda-acura.net and found this while looking at other pics of F-150's. I'm already impressed with this site simply because of the fact that it doesn't seem like anyone rips into anyone else when asking a simple question or for an opinion unlike H-A.net where the easiest of questions turns into nothing but flaming.
Well, enough of that, I just recently purchased a 99 F150 XL flairside standard cab for $8900 used 50k miles and am very happy with it despite never previously owning a truck. Anyways, like many people who can't afford the Lightning I'm in the process of cloning mine to a least look like one, please don't get on my *** about all show and no go because right now I have no intention of voiding my warranty with engine mods. I just bought the Wings West lighting bumper for $240 and also got the Harley Davidson Front grill. I've heard that Bell-Tech makes decent drop kits and am considering going with the 2/4 drop. The only thing I cannot find are the side skirts. I know this has been covered about a hundred times, but I did do a search and every website that I was led to did not have what I was looking for. Karkraft doesn't, fordpartsonline doesn't and either do any of the other sites that I looked at. I called some of them and they all gave me the same response, "Dealership part only." Drew Ford in San Diego quoted me 187.00 ea. for the sides under the doors and about 80.00ea for the other 4 pieces. If anyone can send me in the right direction to find these parts w/o going to a dealer I'd really appreciate it.
