Need Some Ideas
Hey guys, I'm a new member here...need some new ext/int apperance mods...
I've got me a 2001 Silver Ext-cab, style-side F-150 4.6 2x4 (17''rims)
What I've done so far:
Black Westin Step Bars
Ventshades and all 4 windows
Black Soft Bed Cover
Bug Deflector
Black-out headlights
Driving & Passenger windows tinted to 20% (all others to 5%)
Yellow Fog Lights
BOSCH Driving Lights
Custom Pin Stripe (1/2'' thick From front bumber to middle of rear mini door with a black ford logo 3'' tall on the end)
2 Pioneer 10" woofers, Coustic 400w amp, Coustic 250w amp
CB Radio w/antenna
I'm sticking with the Silver truck - black accents and it looks really sharp, and before I start with the performance, I want the exterior to be finished. I'm going to stay away from new skirts and SVT and such body moldings, (I like the factory body).
Right now it looks clean and cut and I want it to stick out a bit, differ from the others if you will. I was thinking about the light rack on the roof and a true dual exhaust straight out the back.
Anyone have any ideas? I'm open to hear anything. I will post a pic shortly.
Thanks Guys

Thanks man, that sure is a nice truck you got there...
Today I started chrome painted items in the engine bay...oil cap, washer fluid cap...etc...
The paint actually makes it look chrome, I was very surprised...
It's called Krylon Original Chrome (Spray).
It really gives a custom look to the engine.
I'm going to take some digital pics as soon as it gets sunny here.
Again thanks for the ideas

no problem.
just remembered another idea that you might wanna check into. I got some chrome door edge molding from pepboys and i used it to trim around the front and rear edge of the radiator cover, the inner lips of the side fenders, the top edge of the firewall trim piece, and around the TB cover. I'm going to be ordering some tinman billet pieces for under the hood and tonneau cover strut covers over the winter. here's how my engine compartment looks now...

and here's an older pic, but easier to see the chrome edging...

o yeah, thanks for the compliment

Harley#356 suggested an L 3rd brake light. I have one to sell if you're interested. Just shoot me an e-mail: drunken_aggie@att.net
That engine looks great, clean , simple, effective, ....perfect.
All those red wires, where'd ya get em? are they stock?
And drunken Aggie, about the 3rd light, considering your in Houston Texas and I'm in Montreal Canada, it would probably be cheaper for me to just one buy one here....thanks though
Does anyone have a pic of that light? I would like to see it.
Thanks guys, your really helping

thanks bannon.
the red wires are actually red wire looms. they are split down the middle and just cover over the existing wires. Really easy to do, just need to be patient cuz it takes a while to get it all done. THe best place out there for basic color looms is www.jcwhitney.com They sell a 40 foot kit (10foot sections of 4 different sizes) and its just enough to do the whole engine compartment perfectly. If you want a hard to find color though, www.streetglow.com has more, but they are alot more expensive. hope this helps, thanks - Josh
