headlights too brite

Like many of you, I purchased euro clear headlight lenses on ebay a while ago. Anyway, when I go down the highway at night, everybody flashes me like I have my high beams on, but I don't. They are completely blinding people. I'm pretty sure they are aimed properly, so I don't think that is the problem. Here is my theory though: On new cars or the L for that matter that have clear lenses, there is a little plastic cover on the end of the bulb. Well our cheapo clears from ebay didn't come with these, so they are shining too brite and blinding other vehicles. Anybody experience this and agree/disagree with my theory?

You think you get flashed with those lights, you should try driving with the Xenarc HIDs. I think its just that people aren't used to brighter then normal lights added to the fact that our truck lights set at about 36" if you are at stock ride height.

Hell I get flashed sometimes with my stock lamps. I usually turn on my brights and blind the idiot who was flashing me. Hey hes the one who wanted to see them in the first place.

Thumbs up

All I can say is check the alignment of them again. I have the same type and I hardly ever get flashed by oncoming drivers. Something about the reflector design makes the beam go a little higher than stock, don't know why? I had to adjust mine down a few turns to get them to the same level as the stock lights. This was after I matched the adjusters to the stock ones. If you are running 80/100w bulbs I don't blame them one bit for flashing you, LOL! I use Eurolites 55/65w xenon bulbs, and they're plenty bright. BTW:People who flash at me get my brights plus the two 100w 6" xenon lights behind the grill Good luck getting them re-aligned, it's not really that difficult to do,,,,98

You can try adjusting the grill side corner in a little, it helps.
