Are 50Watt BackUp Lights OK to use?

Hi all,

Anyone try the 50 watt backup lights from JC Whitney?

Can they replace stock with drawing too much current?

I`d be worried about the heat put off by them. Momentary use would be okay but if you have a standard and its parked in reverse with the lights on that would be some heat output. I used to leave mine that way in the drive while working on it using the radio and etc and the stock lenses got pretty warm with stock bulbs in it.

Just noticed your screen name and info on the side...registered since 1969. You have to be the oldest registered member here Nice typo error on that

S Campbell,
Yep I`m over here off 70 near mineral springs/miami blvd area.
Used to be a Chapel Hill person but moved a few years back

Where are you at?? Maybe we have passed on the roads out here. I see you are driving a Harley Davidson SC and I have seen a black and a grey 02 around here.
