The Stillen cover is on, FINALLY!
This thing rocks!! I thought it looked good before the paint, but now it has changed the whole front end look IMHO. Not too shabby, eh???

Screamer,
Didn't you have to remove the old valence because it didnt have a front plate?
Now you are back to the same problem.
Dont get me wrong, I was sorry to see the other one removed, it looked great on the truck as does this new one.

Nice to finally see it on with some good pictures! It looks good. I was thinking of going the same route.. But it looks a little different not to see the crome. I guess I will just have to look at your truck more and more everyday so I can get used to it.
Hey, you should post a before picture and the after picture so we can see the difference!
Thanks,

Well, I still have a front plate. It's attached with industrial strength velcro
As for the cost, it was a little pricey, but less expensive than a 99-up conversion. $275 plus tax for the cover($296), and $210 to get it painted. The only bad part is that Californias' state tax is as bad as home in TX. No one would have had this in stock anywhere else though, and they would have to lump shipping on top of the price. I think I came out pretty good

98screamer,
That is a good price. My ford dealership Lightning bumper including two inner and two outer brackets cost $460.00 + 100. to have it color match painted ( spent $320.00 to have front L bumper cover, rear chrome bumper, tailgate and headlight covers all color match painted at the same time).
So I have spent $560.00 + 52.00 for headlight covers (has 4 "holes" per cover for light to shine through) + 35.00 for headlight cover color match = 647.00 total.....so far. I still have not purchased/or "made" the lower L bumper grille, nor have I purchased the fog lights! (this amount does not include the 46.00 for headlight covers that I destroyed!
Your front end looks very good. Have you considered color matched headlight covers? My first set were solid black. Looked great.....until you tried to drive at night with them! So I went to a higher watt bulb. Still could not see very well at night. So, I tried to drill holes in the covers and I ........cracked them! So I found
another set that were black except for 4 small transparent areas in a circle pattern (holes). I am able to see at night now..ha! I had these painted dark wedgwood blue as well. You should add additional velcro at both ends of each cover. With only the single factory velcro "spot", I was driving a little fast over some rough railroad tracks and one of my headlight covers went.........flying across the road into a ditch!!!ha!
To me the 97 and up, F150 has the best front end design of any truck ever. Color matched headlight covers really emphasize the custom looking shape and "lines" of the stock front end. When you combine a color matched front bumper with color matched headlight covers, you have a frontend that looks better than a stock Lightning.

Thanks Norm and hmustang!! I have the lower grill back in, now. For some reason I was thinking it was not going to fit. It went right in, easier than the first install.
