Side molding

My 97' F-150 has no side modling to protect the doors or bed from door dings. Its completely smooth. I saw some rocker panels in Cabelas magazine and wondered if anyone has these on there truck? Or does anyone have any other ideas?

Just bought the 4 in. wide 20 foot roll. http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/te...rentType=&rid=

I'm gonna put it just above where the door changes contour. Kinda like what a chevy 1500 has. Nice thing is it will cover up the door dings I have. I may end up getting the 8 in. rocker panel too and just but it up against the 4 in. strip but im not sure yet. I'll have to see what the 4 in. strip looks like. I'll let ya'll know how it looks.

Well I got the stuff the other day. The 4inch strips were a little wide so I cut them down to 2 inches. And I must say it looks damn good. It almost looks like it came from the factory with it on. Only thing I dont like is it looks too much like chevy side molding. Oh well. No more door dings.
