Needles on white gauges...

Ever since I installed the white gauges on my 98 F150 the needles have not been right. The fuel gauge jumps around and doesn't give an accurate reading. The speedomoter and tac I have figured to be about right. Those ae the only ones I care about. Any suggestions on hwo to fix this. Someone told me to fill it up and re-position th needle on full.

That's exactly what I'd do.

Fill er up and set the pin exactly where you want it. Careful to get it tight enough without making it too tight. Otherwise they stick and will "jump around" sometimes.

I think that the problem is that when I put it back on it was too tight. The light coming from behind the gauges is much less than the others...leading me to believe that it is too tight.

I had a little problems with my guages when i went to white face. Make sure the truck has been sitting overnight or at least been sitting for a long time . I have no clue why but its what the instructions said and it worked better.
