Mounting PIAA 520s
Mounting PIAA 520s
Looking to buy a pair of PIAA 520s for driving lights on my 2002 F150 Screw. I want to mount them in front of the grill or directly behind it. No intentions to buy a brush guard or the like.
Couple of questions...
1. Experiences with PIAA 520 Driving Lights? Good? Bad?
2. Ideas on how to mount the lights to the grill either in front or behind?
THX

I have the 510s and 520s in my Piaa airdam and love them both.
One thing to keep in mond is what type of light you buy is depending on where you mount it ( fog vs driving light ).
As for where to mount a light that large without the airdam or not using a pus bar....I cann't offer any help there.
Just be careful of how much of the rad. you cover with the lights, they are ~ 6" in diameter, and you would need to think about what the areodynamics of 2 6"+ round massed in front of your rad do to the air flow, for both moving and for standing still.
The members that I have seen mount lights behind the grille, use a style similar to the Piaa 001X light ( if you are settled on the brand Piaa ), to put a smaller mass in from of the rad.
Just a thought
