Question White face gauges

Greetings all! Looking to buy some white face gauges for my ride. Now i want the style that emulate the SVT gauges, IE: white gauges, but surrounded by black, not ALL white. I do NOT want the white face covers for the HVAC controls, just the speedo cluster. Will this look funny? I have gray interior and everything is stock, will this look right? Also, how difficult is this to install? I have a full compliment of tools, and am an eager week-end warrior mechanic, is this possible to do without a speedo shop? Are their any upgrades to existing factory bulbs behind the gauge cluster to make them appear better? Any places on where to get them and how much would also be appreciated.

Thanks as always!---medic

Here are the NR Auto gauges, I think they're about the closest thing you can get to the Lightning gauges. They still have their price up there with the average gauge price from two years ago, however. Other than that, I believe http://www.streetbeatcustoms.com is having an incredible sale on the APC overlays right now. $40 the last time I looked! You can get a full white face gauge, and put on a billet overlay(which you would have to paint flat black/ easy!!) and have about the same effect. That's what I did with my speed-glos, and they look pretty good IMO.
For the reinstall on the needles, it's fairly easy. Don't push too hard and you'll be fine. They stick if you do that All I did was make a note of where the gauges sat when the truck was idling in Park, (((before you tear the dash down, and with the engine warmed up!))). You can make a drawing if you want. This will work well for all gauges but the speedo. For the speedo, go for a drive BEFORE you remove the needles, and note exactly what rpm's the engine is running at a certain speed. Make SURE the truck is not shifting, or downshifting from acceleration. Just straight level steady speed. Once you're ready to install the speedo needle, take it out on the road at the same exact rpm you were running before, and push the needle on. be sure to watch the road, too!!!!! lol! This has worked very well for me on both gauge faces I have done. Good luck!,,,,98

A Chilton manual helped me alot on the dash teardown the first time, I can now do it in about 15 minutes,,,,98
