questions on clear corner lights

I know I want to get them because of the looks, but I want to know: Do they change your blinker color to white? and do they do anything else that is helpful to know about?

Thanks

Your signal light colour will remain unchanged, unless of course you decide to change the bulbs also.

I'm not 100%, but I believe in most States and Provinces, it is illegal to have a different colour bulb for your signals, only the amber yellow is allowed. (I'm pretty sure)

To get really technical, I also believe that clear corners are illegal, although i've never heard of anyone getting ticketed for it.

Hope this helps.

Change the lenses, just leave the stock bulbs and you will be fine

what you would normally do is change to an amber bulb with the clear corners. Actually, my '98 had amber bulbs in the yellow lens. I didnt realize this until I went to change all 4 corners (rears being clear, I ordered clear for the fronts too). My turn signals are might brighter, but more whte than amber (even with the yellow lens).

But keep in mind, some police are cracking down on altered corners and rears as they are not OEM and the onus is on you to prove that they have the minimum lumen output according to your local state/provincial laws.

Clear corner lenses are 100% street legal.

In fact, Ford and several import car makers like Toyota are switching to clear corner lenses for many of their product lines.

You must use the colored bulb that comes with the lenses, though. Not your stock bulbs. The police cannot site you unless your vehicle fails to have the required color LAMP (not lens).

Hope this info helps. . . .
