White Lights Horror Stories

I was wondering does anyone have any stories about using the white light headlight bulbs and doing damage to the wire system, because of the heat from the bulbs???

I have a close friend that is a service writer at a local Ford dealer and he says that he sees burned up wire harneses all the time so be very careful waht you do!
